We are K3, K4 and K5-12th grade Christian School!
The Focus On Our Students
The students of the Valley Christian Schools are provided with many opportunities to learn and apply this learning to life. Along with their core subjects of math, science, spelling, English and social studies. Our students write book reports, do science experiments, take field trips and much more.
Our Philosophy
Valley Christian Schools is primarily a ministry to the families of Valley Baptist Tabernacle and to other families who are members of churches of like faith and practice. A three-way relationship exists in Christian education consisting of the home, the church and the school. The three must be in harmony in order to achieve the greatest benefit from the ministry of a Christian school. The home is the primary institution in the education process. The local church is God's program in this day for the purpose of evangelism and edification (Matthew 28:19,20). This school is an arm of our local church and is subject to this local church in its philosophy, doctrine, and operation. The Christian school is a ministry, which assists the home in training children. We believe it is inconsistent and confusing to students to simply desire a moral, private education without welcoming the philosophy and doctrine of our church. We teach and preach the truth in our Bible classes and chapel ministry just as it is taught and preached from the pulpit of Valley Baptist Tabernacle. Our Christian School is an extension of the ministry of our church to your home. We are sharing in the education process and take very seriously the trust you have placed in us as well as our obligation to be Scripturally consistent. Therefore, we require that families with students in Valley Christian Schools be in regular attendance in a church of like faith.
Our Position
1. We believe in the verbal inspiration and authority of the Scriptures.
2. We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
4. We believe that salvation is "by grace" plus nothing. The conditions to salvation are repentance and faith.
5. We believe that men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
6. We believe in the eternal security of the believer.
7. We believe in the visible, personal, and premillennial return of Jesus Christ.
8. We believe in the eternal life with Christ in heaven for the saved and the everlasting punishment in the lake of fire (Hell) for the lost.
9. We believe that the present day tongues movement is unscriptural.
Our Purpose
1. To present the academic skills in such a manner as to enable each student to achieve mastery to the best of his/her ability;
2. To help each child develop their individual abilities and personalities for service to God;
3. To teach Bible truths as a pattern for everyday living" (Col. 1:18)
4. To teach individual patriotic duty to the government of our country;
5. To provide a warm, loving, yet disciplined atmosphere for learning.
Academics
The Valley Christian Schools is a ministry of Valley Baptist Tabernacle. Our format is a traditional classroom style. It has as its core curriculum A Beka Publications and Bob Jones University Pressmaterials. Other curriculum materials and supplements are with: Accelerated Christian Education from School of Tomorrow.
Accreditation
Schools using the BJU Curriculum and Accelerated Christian Education program have not sought accreditation by any government agency for several reasons: their tests are developed by secular writers who in many ways reject our Lord Jesus Christ, and in fact extol concepts contrary to teachings of the Bible. Accreditation of a private Christian school such as The Valley Christian Schools is not necessary for a graduate of this Academy who wishes to enroll in a college or university. Registrars of such institutions are interested in the academic merits of individual students, not in the name of their school of graduation. They evaluate each applicant's academic aptitude through nationally standardized tests. The instructional program of this Christian School is designed and implemented to properly train students who wish to continue their education beyond high school.
Our Standards of Conduct
Students are expected to act in an orderly and respectful manner, maintaining Christian standards in courtesy, kindness, language (only that which is glorifying to God), morality, and honesty. Students must agree toward unquestionable character in dress, conduct and attitude during and after Christian School hours as long as they are students at Valley Christian Schools. Students of this Christian School are expected to refrain from talking about or engaging in cheating, swearing, smoking, gambling, non-Christian music, attending the movie theater, dancing, drinking alcoholic beverages, and using or talking about narcotics (except in connection with instruction of an academy project or class).
Our Graduates
The Graduates of Valley Christian Schools are young men and women who are making a difference in our World. Many of our graduates have continued their education at Bible Colleges, Community Colleges as well as State Colleges and Universities. Several have remained in our local communities and are making a wonderful contribution. Without hesitation, our graduates are well prepared through completing a Christian Education with us.
